Practical over buzzwords
Freight Pilot focuses on tools that make load decisions clearer: cost visibility, route context, comparisons, and plain-language planning support.

About Freight Pilot
Freight Pilot helps owner-operators, dispatchers, and carriers analyze profitability, compare opportunities, and make better operational decisions using real-world cost intelligence.
The problem we saw
Load boards, broker calls, spreadsheets, calculators, map tabs, notes, and gut feel all play a part in the decision. The problem is that revenue is usually easier to see than profitability, empty miles, route fit, timing, and the position the truck lands in next.
Freight Pilot was created to bring modern software, automation, and operational intelligence into that planning moment without replacing the tools operators already use.
Why it exists
We approached freight with fresh eyes and a focus on practical operational intelligence. Use your existing load sources; Freight Pilot helps determine what is actually worth running.
Founder
Freight Pilot was founded by David Jurczyk, a Chicago-area technology product manager and infrastructure engineer with experience building enterprise systems, automation platforms, and operational tooling at scale.
David also holds the CISSP security certification. That credential is not a trucking badge, but it reflects the seriousness Freight Pilot brings to product reliability, data handling, access control, and long-term trust.
The platform is being built closely alongside real owner-operators and dispatchers, with a focus on practical features, transparency, and continuous iteration based on user feedback.
Freight Pilot combines product thinking with systems experience, then tests those ideas against the real work of comparing loads, costs, timing, and route tradeoffs.
Freight Pilot focuses on tools that make load decisions clearer: cost visibility, route context, comparisons, and plain-language planning support.
The product is shaped through direct feedback from owner-operators, dispatchers, and carriers working through real freight decisions.
No inflated promises and no AI magic. Freight Pilot is a planning layer that helps make tradeoffs visible before a truck is committed.
Freight data can be sensitive. The platform is built with a security background, careful access controls, and respect for the operational data users bring in.
Current stage
Freight Pilot is early, intentionally practical, and improving quickly. We believe the best logistics software is built with operators, not just for them, so direct feedback is part of how the product gets better.
Reach a real human
Early user feedback matters here. If something in your workflow is painful, confusing, or worth building around, we want to hear it.
