Freight Pilot
Last updated: May 26, 2026
Freight Pilot helps carriers, dispatchers, and owner-operators organize truck profiles, load opportunities, route options, lane history, and planning results. This policy explains the information we collect, how we use it, and how to contact us about your data.
If you submit a company profile to the Freight Pilot Network Directory, information intended for publication may become visible to other users or the public after review. Signed-out visitors may see limited listing information such as company name and company type. Signed-in users may see additional listing details, including contact information you submitted for publication. Do not submit private, confidential, or third-party contact information unless you are authorized to make it public.
We use trusted infrastructure and product providers to operate Freight Pilot, including hosting, database, authentication, object/document storage, file security scanning, email, geocoding, route-estimation, logging, payment and subscription management, and optional AI services for explanations or import assistance. For example, Freight Pilot may use providers such as Clerk for authentication and billing, Stripe for payment processing, database and hosting providers for application data, Google services for location and route-related features, Resend or similar email providers for support messages, and AI providers for optional explanations. These providers process information only as needed to operate the service. Freight Pilot does not sell your personal information.
Paid subscriptions, checkout, payment methods, invoices, discounts, cancellations, and subscription changes are handled through Clerk Billing with Stripe payment processing. Freight Pilot does not intentionally collect or store full payment-card numbers on its own systems. Payment and billing information is processed by those third-party providers according to their security, privacy, and compliance practices. Freight Pilot stores or receives only the limited billing, plan, entitlement, and transaction information needed to operate your subscription, enforce plan limits, provide support, and maintain business records.
If you use AI explanation or assisted import features, relevant planner inputs, route summaries, pasted rows, or uploaded load data may be sent to an AI provider to generate a plain-language explanation or editable import preview. If you use route preview, geocoding, or route-estimation features, relevant location and route information may be sent to mapping or route providers. These features are intended for planning support and may be limited by plan, availability, or provider rules.
Operational documents you upload are customer content used to provide document storage, preview, security scanning, support, and related account features. Documents are not public listings. Freight Pilot may store files with private cloud object storage, process them with malware or security scanning tools, and provide access through authenticated workflows or short-lived secure links. Do not upload documents unless you are authorized to store and use them in Freight Pilot.
We keep account, load, lane, and usage data while your account is active or as needed to operate, secure, and improve the service. Demo data, imported observations, saved route results, feedback, and support records may also be retained for product operation, troubleshooting, abuse prevention, and support history. To request data deletion or ask questions about stored data, contact support@freightpilotapp.com. We may retain limited records where required for security, legal compliance, dispute resolution, or backup integrity. We aim to respond to deletion requests within 7 business days and complete reasonable deletion requests within 30 days.
Load data, documents, rates, broker names, lane history, and location patterns can be commercially sensitive. Only upload or enter information and files that you are authorized to use with Freight Pilot. Imported and manually entered loads may be saved to your lane history automatically. Freight Pilot may use de-identified, aggregated lane observations to improve network lane signals, but individual users, brokers, exact loads, exact rates, and account activity are not shown to other users. Freight Pilot may also show baseline market signals from public freight context and documented operating patterns; those baseline signals are not live load-board rates or guarantees.
We use reasonable technical and operational safeguards, including authenticated access, production security settings, upload limits, file scanning, private object storage, short-lived document links, rate limits, and provider-managed infrastructure. No internet service can be guaranteed perfectly secure, so please contact us promptly if you believe your account or data may be at risk.
Questions, privacy requests, and deletion requests can be sent to support@freightpilotapp.com. If you believe your account or data has been accessed without authorization, contact us promptly so we can investigate and take appropriate action. Freight Pilot is operated by Freight Pilot Technologies LLC, 116 S Northwest Hwy #164, Barrington, IL 60010.
